WHAT WE DO:

Detail Of Services

a.         Develop annual capital and operating budgets reflecting in reasonable detail the anticipated expenses, and sources and uses of capital for the operation of the Practice.  

b.         Establish and maintain accounting procedures and controls and systems for the generation and preparation of financial records and reports needed for the efficient management, review and planning of operations, including maintaining all accounting and payroll systems, procedures, and practices appropriate to operation of Practice;

c.         Provide the following services to Practice:

  1. Collection of accounts receivable;
  2. Processing all charges to patient accounts;
  3. Processing all payments, credits and adjustments to patient accounts;
  4. Generating all patient statements and applicable insurance claim forms;
  5. Reasonable follow-up on all patient accounts to perform secondary billing procedures;
  6. Establishing all necessary control accounts for special billing;
  7. Furnishing all forms, statements, paper and postage as required to do necessary billing and follow-up;
  8. Providing all data concerning credit balance accounts to Practice for issuance of refund checks by Practice;
  9. Furnishing Practice with statistical and summary reports;
  10. Maintaining all source documents for the time period required by third party carriers; 
  11. Attempting to collect all accounts receivable up to one hundred twenty (120) days.  Accounts over that period of days will be sent to the collection agency of Manager’s preference.

d.         Develop and implement proposed business plan(s) in consultation with the Practice, including financial planning;

e.         Supervise and assist in the negotiation of vendor contracts and assist with the evaluation of alternate proposals and bids submitted by various companies relating to supplies for Practice; maintain records of inventory and arrange for purchases of necessary and appropriate supplies on behalf of Practice;

f.          Negotiate  agreements on behalf of Practice,  including, but not limited to, managed care, inventory and service contracts, subject to approval and execution by the Practice;

g.         Develop and implement systems for maintaining medical records and information concerning patients who receive services at the Practice;

h.         Act as the business and marketing manager for Practice;

i.          Coordinate marketing services for Practice, including market research, fact and data gathering, analytical studies and information and advice concerning competition, equipment, systems, techniques, procedures, market segments and sub-segments, pricing, emerging technologies, trend forecasts and related factors;

j.          Advise and assist Practice in securing, renewing, and maintaining any and all necessary federal, state, or local licenses;

k.         Develop and implement policies and procedures for the provisions of services of Practice;

l.          Provide advice and consultation to Practice regarding planning activities and new business development for Practice; 

m.        Advise and assist Practice in connection with inspections and reviews by governmental and accrediting agencies;

n.         Provide reports to the Practice concerning the financial operations of Practice and other information and data pertaining to the operations and administration of Practice.

o.         Advise and assist Practice in the selection of the appropriate insurance coverage;

p.         When applicable, advise and assist Practice in securing financing for the Practice; 

q.         Assist Practice in the payment of expenses (Practice shall be financially responsible):

  1.  billing and collection fees;
  2.  marketing expenses;
  3.  insurance and taxes;
  4.  utilities and phone; 
  5.  payroll and employee benefits expenses; 
  6.  inventory and supplies purchases.

r.         Assist in developing and implementing appropriate utilization review and quality assurance activities in conjunction with the professional services and staff of the Practice, including preparation and analysis of all necessary data in connection therewith, and formulation and implementation of recommendations for improvement of care and utilization; 

s.         Act as the HR manager or in such other managerial roles as delegated by the Practice, regarding  all other managerial and administrative staff and other personnel of the Practice, all of whom shall be the employees of the Practice; assist in the recruitment of employees for the Practice; retain the sole responsibility for personnel selection, subject to Practice approval, as necessary, job classification, job assignment, and rates of pay, subject to the limitations of the Practice and the Practice’s approved budget.
